Three new apple varieties showing commercial potential |

Three new apple varieties have shown good results during evaluation this year.
Galmac is an early striped red apple which is generally harvested +-3 weeks before Gala. This apple is well coloured with a full flavour and balanced taste. (photo attached)
Sweet Delicious, for which Stargrow recently signed the exclusive license for South Africa, is a mid season red apple variety. Harvested after Gala, Sweet Delicious has a full red colour with a pleasant sweet taste.
An early Fuji variety was also seen this year. It was harvested +-3 weeks before standard Fuji and has an attractive bright red colour with a tipical Fuji taste.
We are excited about these new varieties and hope to see them have commercial success for the South African grower.
